Product Parameters
In practical application, Channel Steel is required to exhibit excellent welding and riveting capabilities alongside comprehensive mechanical properties. The billets used for channel steel production are carbon-structured or low-alloy steel billets with a carbon content not exceeding 0.25%. The finished channel steel is supplied in hot-formed, normalized, or hot-rolled states. Specifications are detailed in millimeters as waist height (h) * leg width (b) * waist thickness (d), such as 100*48*5.3, indicating a waist height of 100 mm, leg width of 48 mm, and waist thickness of 5.3 mm—commonly referred to as 10# channel steel. For channels sharing the same waist height but differing in leg widths and waist thicknesses, additional labeling such as a, b, c follows the model number to differentiate, like 25#a, 25#b, 25#c, and so forth.
