What is pickling steel?
Pickling is a specialized metal surface cleaning process primarily employed after a metal has been shaped or formed. It meticulously cleans metal surfaces by immersing them in an acid solution known as pickling liquor. The specific composition of this pickling liquor varies based on the metal type, but for most low alloy steels, hydrochloric acid is prevalently used. For metals with high acid resistance, a stronger acid or a two-step pickling process may be necessary to achieve optimal cleanliness.
How is pickling performed?
Pickling begins with an initial rinse to eliminate sizeable dirt and debris. The metal then undergoes a transformative bath in pickling liquor. Once submerged, the acid effectively strips impurities from the metal's surface. After a pre-determined time to avoid excessive exposure, the metal is extracted, ensuring minimal surface metal loss while achieving a smooth, clean finish. The metal is again rinsed, and typically undergoes oiling to further protect its surface.

2, Machinery Industry (Excluding Automobiles): This extends to textile machinery, mining machinery, fans, and other general machinery. Essential components include compressor shells, brackets, water heater liners, and chemical oil drums.
3, Additional Uses: Parts for bicycles, several types of welded pipes, electrical cabinets, highway guardrails, supermarket and warehouse shelves, fences, iron ladders, and a variety of stamped parts.
