The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in their carbon content, as both are renowned carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the distinction is primarily based on the carbon content, where Q235A features a carbon range of 0.14-0.22%, offering varied characteristics.
Under standard procedures, steel mills diligently mark the finished profiles on identification plates prior to factory dispatch. This ensures users can accurately identify whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. Design guidelines include a pressure P≤1.6MPa, operating temperature between 0~350ºC, and a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
