The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, as classified under the national standard GB700-88. While both are types of carbon steel, Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills inscribe the designated profiles on identification plates prior to factory dispatch, allowing users to discern whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variant. Design pressure parameters adhere to P≤1.6MPa, suitable for use within a temperature range of 0~350ºC, with steel plate thickness specifications starting at 20mm or greater.
