The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content. Both are classified as carbon steels under the national standard GB700-88. Specifically, Q235A contains carbon in the range of 0.14-0.22%, ensuring certain material properties.
Typically, steel mills label the finished profiles on identification plates before dispatching them from the factory. These labels help users determine whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another specification. The design constraints are P≤1.6MPa, a usage temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
