The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B carbon steels lies primarily in carbon content, as per the national standard GB700-88. Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, distinguishing it from its counterpart, Q235B.
Typically, steel mills clearly mark finished profiles on identification plates before dispatch. This allows users to easily verify whether the steel is Q235A, Q235B, or another material. The design pressure is P≤1.6MPa, suitable for temperatures ranging from 0 to 350ºC, with a minimum plate thickness of 20mm.
