Hot-dip Aluminized Steel
Hot-dip aluminized steel is a high-performance anti-corrosion steel product manufactured by immersing pretreated carbon steel or low-alloy steel into a molten aluminum or aluminum-silicon alloy bath (typically 95% Al + 5% Si). The process forms a two-layer metallurgical coating: a dense Fe-Al intermetallic compound layer (bonded tightly with the steel substrate) and a top aluminum alloy layer.
This product integrates excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance, atmospheric corrosion resistance, and mechanical processability, making it an ideal alternative to traditional hot-dip galvanized steel in high-temperature application scenarios. It is widely used in high-temperature equipment, automotive parts, and outdoor structural components, with a service life 2–3 times longer than that of ordinary carbon steel in harsh environments.

Forms a dense, stable aluminum oxide (Al2O3) protective film on the surface at high temperatures, which can block oxygen and corrosive media from penetrating the steel substrate.
Continuous service temperature ranges from 450–650℃, and short-term maximum temperature can reach 750℃, far exceeding hot-dip galvanized steel (≤250℃).
Ideal for high-temperature components like industrial furnace linings, exhaust pipes, and flue systems, with no peeling or rusting under long-term high-temperature conditions.
In harsh environments such as humid climates, coastal salt spray, and industrial waste gas, the corrosion resistance is 20-50 times higher than ordinary carbon steel, and comparable to or even better than hot-dip galvanized steel.
Passes the neutral salt spray test for ≥2000 hours (with coating weight: 100 g/m²) without red rust, suitable for outdoor structures like power transmission towers, highway guardrails, and street lamp poles.
The metallurgical bonding between the Fe-Al intermetallic compound layer and the steel substrate ensures high adhesion. It can withstand bending , stamping, deep drawing, and other cold working processes without coating cracking or peeling.
Supports common welding methods (arc welding, spot welding, gas welding). Post-welding anti-corrosion treatment is simple (e.g., touch-up with aluminized paint), which does not affect the overall performance of the product.
The surface of the aluminum coating can be directly painted without special pretreatment, and the paint adhesion reaches Grade 1 (cross-cut test standard), meeting the needs of color customization of finished products.
