Wear-resistant ceramic-lined steel pipes are composite conduits manufactured through a specialised process. This involves securely bonding high-hardness, highly wear-resistant engineering ceramics—primarily alumina , though silicon carbide and zirconia  are also employed—to the inner surface of standard steel pipes. The result is a composite structure combining a "flexible steel skeleton with a rigid ceramic armour".

Nominal Diameter (DN): Such as DN80, DN100, DN150, DN200, DN300, etc. This determines the fundamental flow capacity of the pipeline.

Material: Commonly Q235B (carbon steel), 20# steel, Q345B (low-alloy steel), etc., depending on system pressure and strength requirements.

Specifications for the ceramic lining layer:

Over 95% alumina ceramics: Most versatile and cost-effective, suitable for the vast majority of operating conditions.
99% alumina/corundum ceramics: Higher hardness with superior wear and corrosion resistance, used in extreme wear or high-purity applications.
Silicon carbide ceramics: Highest hardness with temperature resistance exceeding 1600°C, though costly, employed in specialised high-temperature wear environments.

Ceramic layer thickness: Typically 3–10mm. Thicker layers should be selected for more severe wear conditions.
