The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies within their classification as carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary differentiation is in the carbon content. Q235A has a carbon content ranging between 0.14% and 0.22%;
Typically, steel mills imprint crucial profile information on identification plates before dispatch. This allows users to determine if a material is Q235A, Q235B, or another classification. Parameters include design pressure P≤1.6MPa; operational temperature from 0 to 350ºC; and a steel plate thickness of no less than 20mm.
