The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies in their carbon content, as both are categorized as carbon steels under the national standard GB700-88. Specifically, Q235A's carbon content ranges from 0.14% to 0.22%;
Typically, steel mills mark finished profiles on identification plates before dispatch. Users can discern whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variant by checking these plates. With design pressure capped at P≤1.6MPa and operational temperatures ranging from 0~350ºC, the steel plate's thickness is maintained at >=20mm.
