What is Q235B steel?

The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, a key factor in steel categorization under the national standard GB700-88. Both are classified as carbon steels, with Q235A possessing a carbon content ranging between 0.14-0.22%.
Typically, steel mills clearly mark the finished profiles on identification plates prior to dispatch. This enables users to easily determine whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. These materials are suitable for design pressures P≤1.6MPa and operating temperatures between 0~350ºC, with a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
