What is Q235B steel?

The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies in their categorization as carbon steels. Referencing the national standard GB700-88, the variance is primarily in the carbon content: Q235A features a carbon range of 0.14-0.22%, making it distinct from its counterpart.
Typically, steel mills imprint the finished profiles on identification plates prior to dispatch. This allows users to easily ascertain whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or any other type indicated on the plate. It is suitable for a design pressure P≤1.6MPa, operational temperatures between 0~350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
