The distinction between Q235A and Q235B steels lies within their carbon content, as outlined in the national standard GB700-88. Q235A steel features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, distinguishing itself from its counterpart, Q235B. This subtle yet significant variance influences the steel's properties and applications.
Typically, steel mills imprint identification plates on finished profiles prior to shipment, allowing users to easily determine whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. These plates serve as an important tool for identifying steel grade. Design pressure is capped at P≤1.6MPa, with an operational temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm, ensuring robustness and reliability for various applications.
