The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, as categorized under national standard GB700-88. Q235A features a carbon content range of 0.14-0.22%, reflecting its unique chemical composition.
Ordinarily, steel mills label finished profiles on identification plates prior to dispatch. This allows users to easily determine whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another classification based on the plate's markings. These materials are designed for conditions with pressure P≤1.6MPa and temperatures between 0~350ºC. Ensuring a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm for optimal performance.
