The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in their classification as carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary distinction between these two grades is the variance in carbon content. Q235A contains a carbon range of 0.14-0.22%; a noteworthy detail that determines its specific application.
Typically, upon production completion, steel mills inscribe identification details on plates before dispatching them from the factory. Users can easily ascertain whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type from these identification plates. Design pressure P≤1.6MPa; operational temperature 0~350ºC; steel plate thickness must be >=20mm.
