What is Q235B steel?

The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies in their carbon content, both being carbon steels under national standard GB700-88. Q235A's carbon content ranges from 0.14 to 0.22%, specifying its unique material properties.
Typically, steel mills provide clear identification on finished profiles before dispatch. This allows users to determine the material type, whether Q235A, Q235B, or others, through these identification plates. The material is designed to withstand pressure up to 1.6MPa; operational temperatures between 0 to 350ºC; and a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
