The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, as specified in the national standard GB700-88. Both are varieties of carbon steel, with Q235A featuring a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%;
Typically, steel mills affix identification plates on finished profiles prior to dispatch. These plates enable users to ascertain whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another specification. Designed for pressures up to 1.6MPa, it can be utilized at temperatures between 0 to 350ºC, with a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
