The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, as both are categorized under carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, Q235A boasts a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%.
Typically, steel mills imprint the identification details on plates, enabling users to easily discern whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variety. The design pressure is P≤1.6MPa; suitable for use at temperatures from 0 to 350ºC; optimal for steel plate thicknesses of 20mm and above.
