The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The key distinction between Q235A and Q235B carbon steels lies in their carbon content as detailed in the national standard GB700-88. Specifically, Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
Steel mills routinely mark finished profiles on identification plates before dispatch, enabling users to discern between Q235A, Q235B, or other materials. Identified material can be used under conditions of design pressure P≤1.6MPa, temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of 20mm or more.
