The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B steels lies primarily in their carbon content, as delineated in the national standard GB700-88. Both are carbon steels, yet Q235A distinctly possesses a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, setting it apart.
Typically, before leaving the factory, steel mills engrave identification marks on the finished profiles' plates. This enables users to determine if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. Q235B is fit for design pressures up to 1.6MPa and operates comfortably in temperatures ranging from 0 to 350ºC, with a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
