What is Q235B steel?
Q235B steel plate, known for its versatility and strength, is a type of low carbon steel defined under the national standard GB/T 700-2006, "Carbon Structural Steel." The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
In discerning the differences between Q235A and Q235B, both fall under the category of carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary material distinction lies in their carbon content. Specifically, Q235A contains 0.14-0.22% carbon.
Typically, steel mills meticulously label finished profiles on identification plates prior to dispatch. This enables users to easily identify whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. With a design pressure of P≤1.6MPa and operational temperatures ranging from 0~350ºC, the steel plate is recommended to have a thickness of at least 20mm.
