The Difference Between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B carbon steels, as per the GB700-88 national standard, lies in their carbon content percentages. Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, which distinguishes it from its counterpart, Q235B.
Typically, steel mill identification plates indicate the type of material, allowing users to verify if the steel is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. The design criteria include a pressure limit of P≤1.6MPa and a usage temperature range of 0~350ºC, with a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
