The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B steels, both categorized as carbon steels, is primarily found in their carbon content as per the national standard GB700-88. Q235A is characterized by a carbon content range of 0.14-0.22%, distinguishing it from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills inscribe the identification plates on finished profiles before dispatching them, allowing users to discern whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. The design pressure is P≤1.6MPa with an operational temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
