The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
When distinguishing between Q235A and Q235B, both classified as carbon steels, the primary differences are found in their carbon content as per the national standard GB700-88. Specifically, Q235A features a carbon content range of 0.14-0.22%, providing a subtle variance in material characteristics.
Typically, steel mills will imprint identification markings on the profiles before dispatch, enabling users to ascertain whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. The steel is designed to perform under a pressure P≤1.6MPa, a temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a minimum thickness of 20mm.
