The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
When distinguishing between Q235A and Q235B, it's essential to understand that both fall under the category of carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary distinction lies in their carbon content. Q235A material comprises a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%;
Typically, steel mills imprint the classification of finished profiles onto identification plates before these products depart the factory. Users can then easily discern whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variant by consulting the identification plate. The design pressure can reach P≤1.6MPa, with operating temperatures ranging from 0 to 350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
