The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, as per the national standard GB700-88. Both are categorized as carbon steels. Specifically, the carbon content of Q235A ranges from 0.14-0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills imprint identifying marks on the plates before dispatch. These identifiers enable users to determine whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. The design pressure should not exceed P≤1.6MPa, while the operational temperature ranges from 0 to 350ºC, with a minimum plate thickness of 20mm.
