The difference between Q235A and Q235B: Although both are carbon steels, the national standard GB700-88 distinguishes these two materials primarily through their carbon content. Specifically, Q235A is characterized by a carbon content ranging between 0.14% and 0.22%.
Typically, steel mills attach identification plates to finished profiles before dispatching them from the factory. These plates enable users to determine if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variant. The design parameters are: pressure P≤1.6MPa, temperature range 0~350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
