What is Q235B steel?
Q235B steel plate is a type of low carbon steel prominently defined by the national standard GB/T 700-2006 'Carbon Structural Steel'. The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, as outlined in the national standard GB700-88. Both are carbon steels, but Q235A contains a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, whereas Q235B has slightly different specifications.
Typically, steel mills label the finished profiles on identification plates before they leave the factory. This allows users to verify whether the product is Q235A, Q235B, or another type based on the identification plate. The design parameters include a pressure P≤1.6MPa, operational temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a plate thickness of no less than 20mm.
