The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in their classification as carbon steels within the national standard GB700-88. The primary distinction is based on the carbon content. Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%.
Under standard conditions, steel mills label finished profiles on identification plates before dispatching them. Users can determine whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or a different material by examining the identification plate. With a design pressure of P≤1.6MPa and a usage temperature range from 0 to 350ºC, the steel plate's thickness is equal to or greater than 20mm.
