The distinctive difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in their composition as carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, their primary differentiation is attributed to the carbon content levels, where Q235A exhibits a carbon content ranging from 0.14-0.22%.
Typically, steel mills mark their finished profiles with identification plates before dispatch. Users can easily identify whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or alternative materials by examining these identification plates. Applicable under design pressures P≤1.6MPa, operating temperatures from 0 to 350ºC, and with steel plate thicknesses of at least 20mm.
