The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in their carbon composition, as dictated by the national standard GB700-88. While both are carbon steels, Q235A's carbon content ranges from 0.14% to 0.22%, offering distinct material characteristics.
Typically, steel mills label the finished profiles on identification plates before dispatching them from the factory. These plates allow users to determine if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variant. The design conditions specified are a pressure P≤1.6MPa, a temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
