What is pickling steel?
Pickling is an essential metal surface cleaning process predominantly employed after a metal has been formed. It meticulously purifies the metal surface by immersing it in an acid solution referred to as pickling liquor. The choice of acid that constitutes the pickling liquor is determined by the specific metal being treated. Typically, for most low alloy steels, hydrochloric acid is utilized. However, for metals with high acid resistance, a more potent acid, or a two-step pickling approach may be necessary to achieve optimal cleaning outcomes.
How is pickling performed?
Pickling involves a methodical procedure starting with the preliminary rinsing of metal to eliminate substantial dirt and debris. Subsequently, the metal is submerged into a pickling liquor bath. During immersion, the acid effectively eradicates surface impurities. Adhering to a pre-determined immersion time frame is crucial to avoid excessive acid exposure. With the apt pickling liquor and precise immersion duration, impurities are diligently eliminated from the metal surface with minimal loss. Post pickling, the metal undergoes another rinse and typically an oiling process to ensure surface integrity.

Additional stamping parts encompass anti-collision bumpers, brake sleeves, and other small interior car components.
2, Machinery industry (excluding automobiles) applications extend to textile machinery, mining machinery, fans, and a range of general machinery. Other uses include compressor shells, brackets, water heater liners, and chemical oil drums.
3, Also applicable to various bicycle parts, diverse welded pipes, electrical cabinets, highway guardrails, supermarket and warehouse shelves, fences, iron ladders, and stamping parts of varied shapes.
