The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in their distinct carbon content, both being carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills label the finished profiles on the identification plates before dispatch. This allows users to determine the material type, such as Q235A, Q235B, or other standards, based on the identification plate. Design pressure is capped at P≤1.6MPa, with a temperature range of 0~350ºC. The thickness of the steel plate must be equal to or greater than 20mm.
