The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, although both are carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, Q235A has a carbon content range of 0.14-0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
Under normal circumstances, steel mills clearly mark finished profiles on identification plates before leaving the factory. This enables users to easily identify if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. For these steels, the design pressure is P≤1.6MPa, with a usage temperature range of 0~350ºC, and a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
