The differentiation between Q235A and Q235B lies in their classification as carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary distinction revolves around the carbon content present in the steel. Q235A encompasses a carbon content ranging from 0.14-0.22%;
Typically, steel mills inscribe finished profiles on identification plates before dispatching them from the factory. This marking enables users to ascertain whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. These steels are suitable for design pressure P≤1.6MPa and can be used in temperatures ranging from 0~350ºC, with a plate thickness starting at 20mm.
