The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B steels, both categorized as carbon steels, lies primarily in their carbon content as specified by the national standard GB700-88. Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
In standard practice, steel mills label the finished profiles on identification plates prior to dispatch. These plates allow users to verify whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type. Suitable for design pressure P≤1.6MPa, operating temperatures between 0~350ºC, and a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
