The difference between Q235A and Q235B: Both are categorized under carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary distinction lies in the carbon content. Q235A features a carbon content ranging between 0.14-0.22%, offering different mechanical properties.
Under standard conditions, steel mills ensure quality by marking the identification plates on finished profiles before dispatch. Users can easily verify if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type based on these plates. Specifications include design pressure P≤1.6MPa, operating temperature from 0 to 350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
