The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
In exploring the differences between Q235A and Q235B, we find both are categorized as carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary distinction lies in the carbon content. Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
Typically, manufacturers label finished steel profiles on identification plates before dispatch from the factory. This allows users to easily discern whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. The design pressure is P≤1.6MPa, suitable for use temperatures ranging from 0 to 350ºC, with a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
