Its primary purpose is to prevent corrosion of the underlying steel substrate through the dual action of the zinc layer's physical barrier and its electrochemical sacrificial anode protection.

Manufacturing Process

Pre-treatment: Degreasing → Acid pickling to remove rust → Water rinsing (ensuring substrate surface cleanliness is critical to quality).

Electrogalvanising: Immerse the workpiece in an electrolyte containing zinc ions (e.g., alkaline zincate, potassium/sodium chloride systems) and apply an electric current for electrodeposition.

Post-treatment (critical):

Rinsing: Remove residual electrolyte solution.

Brightening: Enhance coating lustre.

Passivation: Immerse in chromate or eco-friendly chromium-free passivating solution to form a conversion coating, significantly boosting rust resistance and imparting colour.

Drying: Thoroughly remove moisture to prevent water marks.
