The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, both being carbon steels. As per national standard GB700-88, Q235A has a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%.
Typically, steel mills mark the finished profiles on identification plates before dispatch, allowing users to identify materials such as Q235A, Q235B, or others. Design parameters include pressure P≤1.6MPa, temperature range 0~350ºC, and a steel plate thickness of >=20mm.
