The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B, both carbon steels, lies primarily in their carbon content, as outlined by the national standard GB700-88. Q235A boasts a carbon content in the range of 0.14-0.22%, which defines its unique material properties.
Typically, steel mills will inscribe the completed profiles on identification plates before dispatching from the factory. This allows users to easily determine whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. Designed for a pressure P≤1.6MPa, with an operational temperature range of 0~350ºC, the steel plate thickness is maintained at ≥20mm to ensure optimal performance.
