The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies primarily in their carbon content, as defined by the national standard GB700-88. Q235A possesses a carbon content range of 0.14-0.22%, distinguishing it from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills indicate the finished profiles on identification plates before shipping. Users can determine if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type by examining these plates. Design specifications include a pressure P≤1.6MPa, operating within a temperature range of 0~350ºC, with a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
