What is Q235B steel?

The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B lies in their composition as both are carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the key difference is found in the carbon content. Q235A contains 0.14-0.22% carbon, setting it apart from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills label finished profiles on identification plates before dispatch. Users can identify whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type based on this identification. With a design pressure P≤1.6MPa; suitable for use at temperatures ranging from 0~350ºC; and a steel plate thickness of >=20mm, it caters to various industrial needs.
