The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in the carbon content, both being carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, Q235A contains 0.14-0.22% carbon, distinguishing it from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills mark the finished profiles on identification plates before dispatch. This allows users to verify if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another type based on the plate. Designed to operate under pressure P≤1.6MPa, usable at temperatures ranging from 0 to 350ºC, with a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
