The difference between Q235A and Q235B: both are carbon steels, distinguished by their carbon content according to the national standard GB700-88. Q235A features a carbon content range of 0.14-0.22%, which sets it apart from Q235B in terms of material composition.
Typically, steel mills imprint identification plates on finished profiles prior to dispatch, enabling users to discern whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. The standard design parameters include a pressure limit of P≤1.6MPa and a usage temperature range from 0 to 350ºC, with a mandatory steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
