What is Q235B steel?

The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The primary distinction between Q235A and Q235B, both of which are carbon steels, lies primarily in their respective carbon content levels as defined by the national standard GB700-88. Q235A material contains a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, setting it apart from Q235B.
Typically, steel mills ensure that the finished profiles are clearly marked on the identification plates before dispatching them from the factory. This allows users to easily identify whether the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variant. The design specifications include a pressure limit P≤1.6MPa; operational temperature between 0~350ºC; and a steel plate thickness of at least 20mm.
