The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The distinction between Q235A and Q235B primarily revolves around their carbon content, as specified in the national standard GB700-88. Q235A possesses a carbon range of 0.14-0.22%; both are classified as carbon steels, showcasing essential differences in material composition.
Typically, before steel mills dispatch finished profiles, identification plates are marked to specify material types, enabling users to easily discern between Q235A, Q235B, and other variants. Design pressure is suitable for P≤1.6MPa with an operational temperature range of 0~350ºC; the steel plate thickness must be >=20mm.
