What is pickling steel?
Pickling is an essential metal surface treatment process used primarily after the formation of metal. This technique involves cleansing the metal surface by immersing it in an acid solution known as the pickling liquor. The acid type varies according to the metal being treated; typically, hydrochloric acid is used for most low alloy steels. However, for metals with higher acid resistance, a stronger acid or a dual-phase pickling method may be required to achieve optimal cleanliness.
How is pickling performed?
The pickling process begins with an initial rinsing stage to eliminate dirt and debris. The metal is then submerged in a pickling liquor bath where the acid actively removes surface impurities. To avoid overexposure, the metal is withdrawn after a predetermined immersion time. With the precise composition of pickling liquor and correct duration, surface imperfections are effectively cleaned with minimal metal loss. Post-pickling, the metal undergoes a final rinse and is often subjected to an oiling process to ensure a pristine finish.

It also includes various small components like anti-collision bumpers, brake sleeves, and other interior car parts.
2, Machinery industry, apart from automotive, includes textile machinery, mining machinery, fans, and general machinery components such as compressor shells, brackets, water heater liners, and chemical oil drums.
3, Other applications encompass bicycle parts, welded pipes, electrical cabinets, highway guardrails, supermarket shelving, warehouse storage units, fences, iron ladders, and diverse shaped stamping parts.
