The difference between Q235A and Q235B lies in their classification as carbon steels. According to the national standard GB700-88, the primary distinction is based on carbon content. Q235A's carbon content ranges from 0.14-0.22%.
Typically, steel mills inscribe the identification plates with relevant details of finished profiles before dispatch. Users can easily determine if the material is Q235A, Q235B, or another variant by examining these plates. This steel is engineered for pressures up to 1.6MPa and operational temperatures spanning 0~350ºC, with a minimum steel plate thickness of 20mm.
