The difference between Q235A and Q235B.
The difference between Q235A and Q235B: Both are carbon steels, but they differ primarily in carbon content. According to the national standard GB700-88, Q235A features a carbon content ranging from 0.14% to 0.22%, whereas Q235B has its own specifications.
Under standard conditions, steel mills inscribe the material's designation on identification plates before dispatch. This allows users to authenticate whether it is Q235A, Q235B, or another grade. The design pressure is P≤1.6MPa, with an operating temperature between 0~350ºC, and a recommended steel plate thickness of no less than 20mm.
